Lucidi, who went by the name ‘Remi Enigma’ on social media, had managed to ascend to the 68th floor of the 721ft Tregunter Tower, an upscale residential block located in Hong Kong’s Mid-Levels area, before the tragic accident that resulted in his fatal fall.

A security officer tried to detain Lucidi after the supposed friend denied knowing him, but Lucidi managed to reach an elevator before that.

Later, security footage captured Lucidi arriving on the 49th floor and then using the stairs to ascend to the building’s top.

As the pursuit continued, the pursuers discovered the roof hatch open, but Lucidi was nowhere to be found.

According to the police, the man was last spotted alive at 7:38 p.m. when he tapped on the window of the penthouse in the complex, which led a maid to call the police.

An unidentified source stated that the police suspect Lucidi was trapped outside the penthouse and was trying to get help by banging on the window before the unfortunate accident occurred.

Additionally, a source with knowledge of the incident disclosed that the police discovered Lucidi’s camera at the scene, containing videos of his other daring stunts.

The police have not yet released an official cause of death.

Gurjit Kaur, the owner of the hostel where Lucidi was staying, described him as a “friendly and humble guy.”

“He appeared to be healthy, fit, and had a cheerful demeanor,” Kaur shared with the news outlet. “I feel deeply saddened by this.”

Lucidi had an Instagram account where he shared photos and videos of his climbing adventures with over 3,000 followers.

His recent posts showcased him posing at the summits of high-rise scaffolding and buildings in various countries around the world, including Dubai, Bulgaria, and France.

In the majority of the footage, he can be seen taking on these daring climbs without using any safety harnesses.

One scene, in particular, is truly stomach-turning, where he is captured balancing on the edge of a towering 980-foot-high chimney in France.
