Chairman of the House Oversight Committee James Comer, and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, sent a letter to Hunter Biden’s lawyer Abbe Lowell over the weekend stating that they are going to subpoena Hunter Biden a second time if that will make him cooperate in the on going investigation.
GOP committee chairs are set to subpoena president Biden Son Hunter Biden again in the near future after Hunter Biden opened the door to a deposition with the investigators in charge of the president Biden case.
The letter said that the committees welcome the hunter Biden’s recent willingness to testify in a deposition setting under subpoena.
The Committee’s subpoenas are lawful and can be enforced legally. the impeachment committee also informed hunter Biden’s lawyer that they are prepared to issue subpoenas compelling Hunter Biden’s appearance at a deposition in the coming weeks.
This new approach comes as GOP Lawmakers prepare a chamber wide vote to hold Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress after he skipped out on an earlier subpoena for a recent closed door deposition.
Hunter Biden’s lawyer Abbe recently wrote to the impeachment committee chairs arguing that the initial subpoena was not valid because it was issued before the House voted to formally begin the president Biden impeachment inquiry.
A new source familiar with the whole discussions told Fox News that James Comer could recommend waving the contempt vote if Hunter Biden and his lawyers will genuinely cooperate and accept a new date for the deposition.
Hunter Biden’s lawyer also said that If they issue a new proper subpoena now that there is a duly authorized impeachment inquiry, that Hunter Biden will comply for a hearing or deposition.
He also said that they will accept that kind of a subpoena on behalf of Hunter Biden.
Biden impeachment committee chairs said after a closed door meeting that they would be open to a public hearing for Hunter Biden.
Hunter Biden also accused the GOP committee of invading his privacy and attacking his wife and children.
He also said they tried to dehumanize him and embarrass and damage his father, Which are all lies.
